This Privacy Policy explains how the Larped AI app ("Larped," "we," "us") handles information when you use it. Larped is an entertainment app: you pick a themed scene and receive a pack of aspirational lifestyle photos for posting to social media, as a self-aware bit.
We built Larped to collect as little about you as possible. The most sensitive thing you give the app — your selfie — never leaves your phone.
Your selfie never leaves your device
When you choose or take a selfie, it is used entirely on your device. It is never uploaded to our servers, never stored by us, and never used to train any model — ours or anyone else's. We do not receive it, keep it, or share it. It stays in your phone's own storage and the app's local memory.
We never collect face data or biometric information of any kind, and nothing derived from your face is ever used for advertising or marketing.
A future version of Larped may offer optional, server-side AI photo generation
that would need to process your selfie on our servers. If and when that ships,
we will update this policy and ask for your clear, explicit permission before
your photo is ever uploaded. Until then, your selfie is device-only.
What we do collect
To run the app — deliver your photo packs, remember your subscription, and improve the product — we process a small amount of information:

The photos in your packs are curated, licensed photography served from our backend — they are delivered to your device and saved to your own photo library only when you choose to export them. The "Larp Card" before/after image is assembled on your device.
What we do NOT collect
- We do not collect your name, phone number, contacts, or precise location.
- We do not collect or store your selfie or any face/biometric data.
- We do not require you to create an account or log in.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites, show third-party ads,
or sell or share your data with data brokers. Because we don't track you, Larped shows no App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Third parties who process data for us
We use a small number of service providers, each only to run the app, and each bound to protect your information:
- Supabase — backend, anonymous accounts, and database.
- RevenueCat — subscription management.
- Apple — App Store payments and subscriptions.
- PostHog — anonymous product analytics.
We do not sell your information to anyone.
Data retention
Your anonymous account and its associated data (selections, subscription status) are kept while your account exists so the app keeps working for you. Analytics are retained in aggregate. Your selfie is never retained by us because it is never collected.
Children
Larped is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will address it.
Your choices and rights
- You can stop using the app at any time and cancel your subscription in your
Apple ID settings.
- You can request that we delete the limited account data associated with you by
emailing us (see below).
- Depending on where you live (for example, California residents under the CCPA),
you may have rights to know about, access, or delete personal information we hold. We honor these requests — just email us.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Material changes (such as introducing server-side photo processing) will be made clear in the app.
